Boobs on bikes causes Christchurch stir

Police are asking Christchurch residents to stop making complaints about Boobs On Bikes - say it's not illegal

Christchurch police say the city's Boobs on Bikes parade is not illegal, and are asking people to stop calling them with complaints.

Police have received a number of complaints about the Erotica Expo publicity parade which will make its way through the central city at Friday lunchtime.

Inspector Gary Knowles says police understand why people are upset, however he says it is a moral not a criminal issue. He says the women in the parade will not ride through the city with bare breasts, but will be clad in skimpy clothing. Mr Knowles says complaints to the police will not stop the parade.
