Adult Expo Irresistible For Thousands

A Hamilton chocolate maker is diversifying from her regular lines this month to prepare for the Erotica Adult Lifestyle Expo 2001.Robin Goss is making chocolate breasts and penises to sell at the Auckland expo.

But it is not just about sex say organizers Fiona Gibb and Rikki Noonan. The expo is about any and all services and products that are part of adult lifestyle. "Sex is just part of those lifestyles," Rikki says.Last year's expo saw more than 16,000 people through the doors and Rikki says they are expecting more this year. "We think it will be three times the size of last year. We didn't expect to see as many people through as last year".

Rikki says 45 percent of visitors to last year's expo were women and 34 percent were married. More entertainment for females is a focus of this year's show - the oldest person surveyed by organizers after last year's show said there wasn't enough "eye candy for women". She was 87.Rikki says there were a lot of Hamilton visitors last year, but people are coming from as far away as Invercargill this year.

Organisers couldn't reveal all features of the expo, but Rikki says there are three porn stars coming from America."The Expo is just great fun and it gives people an opportunity to go in without being confronted. It's a friendly environment," says Rikki.
